League Format
1.0 - Team and Player Selections
1.1 - Teams are to be hand-selected by the league office based on player's skill level and anticipated attendance. The overall goal is to create parity amongst all teams, and to include at least one junior player in each team to develop leadership skills.
1.2 - Trades between teams are not permitted unless approved by the league office.
2.0 - League Matches, Order of Play
2.1 - For each team matchup, 9 singles matches (worth one match point each) and 1 doubles match (worth two match points) are to be played, first team to 6 match points wins.
2.1.1 – Each match will be best of 5 games, 11 points.
2.2 - All matches are to be played out, regardless of match points.
2.3 - The lineup and the order of play is determined by the team captain. The away team captain will fill out the lineup card first, and the home team captain will complete the matchups.
2.3.1 - If there are 4 players in attendance, 1 player will play three matches, 3 players will play two singles matches. 2 players will be selected by the captain for the doubles matchup.
2.3.2 - If there are 3 players in attendance, each player will play three singles matches. Again, 2 players will be selected by the captain for the doubles matchup.
2.3.3 - If there are 2 players or less in attendance, each player can only play a maximum of 3 singles matches. The rest would be defaulted as no-shows and count towards a team's win-loss records. A double's match will still be played.
3.0 - League Schedule
3.1 - The league will be played in a round robin format, where each team will play a home and away match against every other team in the league.

3.4 - Rescheduling a match to another night (Monday or Wednesday night) is permitted if it is agreed amongst the team captains and the league office.
4.0 – League Standings and Results
4.1 – Standings will be determined by the number of team matches won and lost. The match point differentials will be used as tiebreaker if necessary.
4.2 – A league trophy will be presented to the winners, which will be engraved with each season’s winning team and players. The trophy will need to be returned at the start of the following season.

The Beginning...
Through a few open discussions and brainstorming sessions, several past provincial team members noted that there was something missing, and discussed what can be done in order to improve the caliber of table tennis players in Saskatchewan.
... and this is how the Saskatchewan Table Tennis League (STTL) was born.
Although the primary goals of the league is to provide regular competitive play in the province throughout the year, the true goal of this program is to provide a platform for players in the junior system to gain the necessary tournament experience to achieve better results at sanctioned tournaments and to further develop their leadership, coaching, and refereeing skills.
A secondary goal is to inflate the ratings by increasing the number of rated matches amongst players, therefore providing more incentives for junior and grass-root players to stay active in the sport, as they will be more encouraged at their progress as they watch their ratings increase.
