The Beginning...

Through a few open discussions and brainstorming sessions, several past provincial team members noted that there was something missing, and discussed what can be done in order to improve the caliber of table tennis players in Saskatchewan.

... and this is how the Saskatchewan Table Tennis League (STTL) was born.

Although the primary goals of the league is to provide regular competitive play in the province throughout the year, the true goal of this program is to provide a platform for players in the junior system to gain the necessary tournament experience to achieve better results at sanctioned tournaments and to further develop their leadership, coaching, and refereeing skills.

A secondary goal is to inflate the ratings by increasing the number of rated matches amongst players, therefore providing more incentives for junior and grass-root players to stay active in the sport, as they will be more encouraged at their progress as they watch their ratings increase.
